animation pricing
Every project is completely different — and that's the point.
Length, components, colourways, revision rounds, delivery timelines, the way you plan to distribute the final assets — the variables stack up fast, and sliding a few sliders will only get us so close. That's exactly why the quote above is a starting point, not a final answer.
What genuinely shapes the price on a real project:
- the complexity of your models — are they clean, ready-to-animate CAD files, or do they need prep work?
- how many products feature in the shot, and whether they'll be swapped out later
- the levels of detail you want — materials, textures, water, environment, branded touches
- how many revision rounds you'll realistically need
- delivery formats — a web master, an Instagram cut, print assets, all of the above
- and timing — when you need it in the water.
We'd genuinely love to talk it through. Get in touch and we'll ask the right questions, strip out anything you don't need, and give you a proper fixed quote — with bulk discounts available if you're running several products or a whole range.

Why product animation?
A static photo shows what a product looks like. A 3D animation shows what it does — and that small step makes a big difference at Check-out.
The data lines up across e-commerce and marketing: product pages with 3D or animated visuals convert up to 40% better than static-only pages, and the majority of online shoppers now prefer seeing products in motion or 3D before buying. Add a 3D asset to a page and 82% of visitors interact with it — turning passive browsing into active engagement. That engagement converts: studies across platforms consistently show higher conversion, stronger add-to-cart intent, and fewer returns, because customers actually understand the product before it arrives.
There's a retention angle too. Motion holds the eye — animated content lifts engagement by anywhere from 38% to 300% depending on the channel, and message recall jumps from around 10% with static text to over 90% when motion is involved.
For boards, foils, wings and marine gear specifically, animation earns its keep in three ways:
- Show the product in use — rotation, water, handling. Things a flat photo can't express.
- One master render, every channel — 4K for the site, 9:16 for reels, 1:1 for ads, all from a single scene.
- Built to scale — add a model, colourway or variant without re-shooting a thing.
You get the theatre of a film shoot without the cost, the weather, or the repeated trips to the beach.
